Background
Rainbow Place Preschool is a ministry program of Faith Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn. Our program has been guiding children and their families in these valuable first school experiences since 1981. We offer traditional Half-day programs, an All-day program (est. in 1992) plus various Enrichment Classes for children 3 through age 6. A Young 3's class (est. in 2012) offers children almost 3 an introduction to the joys of preschool.
Our classes provide children a loving Christian environment in which to participate in positive social experiences and creative, hands-on opportunities for learning and discovery. We hope this not only provides for kindergarten readiness, but a strong foundation for a joy of life-long learning. Philosophy
The primary goal remains providing children with a preschool experience in which they can progress at their own pace, develop a positive sense of self, and engage in activities designed to enhance social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development.
Children in our program learn through exploration, experimentation, practice and interaction with others. They learn about God's role in everyday life through example, problem-solving, social interaction, stories, songs and prayer before meals.
Rainbow Place Preschool is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services. Class placements are made by age at start of school year. Completion of application and associated DCFS paperwork is required. Enrollment is open to all children regardless of race, color or national or ethnic origin. Programming options are available for the main school year calendar as well as year-round, through summer attendance.
